The GO Club
In keeping with Golden Opportunity's mission to provide fair and equitable access to services, GO introduced an after-school enrichment program called "GO Cub." The GO Club offers six hours a week of after-school activities at no cost to GO caregivers, providing a sense of community, socialization, peer friendship, and belonging. It ensures that GO students in grades two to five, whose families have limited access to transportation, continue to receive free one-on-one tutoring without interruption.
The GO Club is designed to foster a love of learning, cooperative play, creative expression, and self-worth in every child. It provides services without barriers to participation for students in need. By bringing students together, it allows them to broaden their peer groups and build valuable friendships before entering middle school. GO Clubs offer a safe and supervised environment for students after school, which eases the burden for working parents.
Special thanks to Wegmans for supporting our GO student community by providing healthy and nutritious snacks.
